In late January, Art Line publish the book/catalogue that will present the Art Line project on more than 250 pages We proudly present some of the contributors to this documentation.

MONIKA FLEISCHMANN 

is a German research [media] artist and scientist, and a curator of new media art. Born in Karlsruhe, grown up in Donaueschingen, lived and worked in Zürich, München, Nizza, Diano Marina, Bonn, today in Berlin and Gargnano. Her multidisciplinary background – studies in fashion design, visual arts, theatre studies, digital media and philosophy in Zurich, Berlin and Vienna – made her an expert in the world of digital media, media art and science. She works on Digital Culture and Knowledge Media at Fraunhofer IAIS near Bonn, Germany. She is Prof. for Media Theory & Interactive Media at Bremen University of Applied Science and Member of the of the MIMA ART Board at MIMA University | Munich Institute of Media and Musical Arts.

Since 1987 Prof. Monika Fleischmann works on the concept of interactivity with interactiveinstallations and knowledge discovery tools in partnership with Wolfgang Strauss. Since 1994 they built up the internationally recognized MARS – Exploratory Media Lab, 2001 – 2008 at Fraunhofer Society. In 2008 she was appointed Honorary Professor of Media Theory and Interactive Media Art at University of Applied Sciences, Bremen. International lectures; seminars and workshops at University Siegen (DE), Donau-University Krems(AT), Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst, Basel, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. WOLFGANG STRAUSS
is a German architect, media artist and scientist. Born near Nuremberg, grown up inNeuendettelsau, he studied and worked in Berlin and Bonn, today he works in Berlin andGargnano. He is a Research Artist at Fraunhofer IAIS, Sankt Augustin and since 2009 Guest-Professor for Experimental Interaction in the HCI Master at University Siegen. Since 1987 Wolfgang Strauss works in partnership with Monika Fleischmann on media art installations and the concept of interactivity. (CV Jan/2013)
